Product Description PLCE YOKE carrying harness for side pouches The PLCE (Personal Load Carrying Equipment) YOKE carrying harness for side pouches allows one or two PLCE side pockets (available separately) to be used in a daypack configuration. The PLCE YOKE harness is a lighter carrying solution than a separate daypack. PLCE side pouches can also be attached to compatible backpacks for carrying over longer distances together with the rest of your equipment. One set of PLEC YOKE carrying harness and one or two PLCE side pouches are required for use. *Since June 2022, the PLCE YOKE carrying system has been updated to allow a single side pouch to be carried as well as a pair of side pouches. Currently, all colours except Coyote are the newer version. Features: - Lightweight design - Converts side pockets into a backpack - Rot-resistant thread - Weight: 270 g Fabric: KS100e KS100e is a durable 1000-denier nylon fabric with excellent tear and abrasion resistance. It has a waterproof elastomeric polyurethane (PU) coating on the reverse, while the outer surface is treated with a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. Camouflage models are made from 500D fabric that reflects infrared light (IRR). PLCE – Personal Load Carrying Equipment The origins of the PLCE system can be traced to the British armed forces in the 1980s. Its purpose was to replace the outdated '58 Pattern webbing system, which had served the military for decades but had become obsolete. The new PLCE system was designed to be modular, allowing soldiers to adapt their equipment to mission requirements. The introduction of durable Cordura nylon, quick-release buckles and a wide range of pouches marked a significant departure from the previous generation of military equipment. One of the key features that distinguished PLCE from other systems was its modular design. The system included a belt, a yoke and various pouches that could be attached or removed according to the soldier's needs.
